Hi, I’m Maddie – Dental Hygienist & Therapist

The mouth is the gateway to your body, looking after your oral health will benefit your overall wellbeing.

Seeing a Dental Hygienist is a gentle way to ease yourself into the good habits you need to maintain healthy mouth for life.

Dental hygiene is about taking care of your teeth and mouth through daily teeth cleaning as well as good nutrition and hydration. A trip to the dental hygienist regularly can ensure the health of your teeth and gums for the foreseeable future, giving you the tools to develop excellent habits. Bleeding gums are the first sign of gum disease, so seeing a hygienist regularly gives you the peace of mind that any issues can be spotted and addressed early on.

Following a comprehensive dental examination, I will be able to provide treatment using state of the art technology.   Either Full Mouth Detox or specific periodontal therapy.  We will discuss any of the findings made and with your consent I can refer you for any further treatment required.

Routine visits to a see a dental hygienist or therapist, as well as regular dental check ups, will give you and your children the tools to look after your teeth and gums for life – preventing any pain and discomfort and giving you a healthy happy smile.

What is a Dental Therapist?

Never heard of, or seen, a dental therapist? I’m not surprised if the answer is no! Most people have heard of a dental hygienist, unfortunately dental therapy hasn’t been a widely practised service. However, in recent years with call for more dental processionals our numbers have been growing as more dental practices recognise the role we play in providing a comprehensive service to our patients. Dental therapists are highly skilled clinicians, with extra training that allows us to perform a wider range of services alongside the services you’d expect from a dental hygienist – oral health screening, prevention of dental disease and treatment of gum disease –  as a dental therapist I also provide a variety of other treatments often associated with a dentist.

I am able to carry out all children’s dentistry including fillings and removal of deciduous (baby) teeth and Adult fillings ad preventative care.   Wherever possible, I use minimally invasive or ‘no drill’ techniquess. I also offer tooth whitening under the prescription of the referring dentist.

Happily I am able to offer a high standard of treatment to my patients – most importantly, delivered in a calm and stress free environment.

Did you know you can visit a dental hygienist or dental therapist at any practice you wish without seeing a dentist first?  This is called ‘Direct Access’. It means you now have even better access to restorative and preventative dental care.

I am currently practicing Dental Hygiene in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  Come and see me at
